THE DELTA KITE FESTIVAL RETURNS THE COMPETITION TO THE EBRO DELTA

The Delta Kite Festival for 2023 are ambitious. The challenge they have set for themselves is to increase the number of competitors to more than 70, for which two types of registrations have been designed: a basic one for the popular regatta and a more professional one that includes economic prizes. The organization points out that they already have several confirmed brands, but their goal is to have between 6 and 7 invited brands.

In addition, it is mentioned that there will be a restaurant area on the promenade, with the aim of attracting between 400 and 500 people during the weekend. The organization hopes that attendees enjoy the event and feel motivated to participate in future editions.

The competition will take place throughout the weekend and depending on the strength and direction of the wind.

If we do not have enough wind, we will move the competition to the following weekend with forecast.

This kite festival would not be possible without the two organizers Kiterebels and Ebresurfers:

KITEREBLS AND EBRESURFERS had an idea: to hold the first Kitesurfing competition in the Ebro lands, that is how they started working with the brands of the sector and with the local kiters themselves to organize an amateur competition, around 40 competitors and with more than 150 people enjoying the event and a special weekend! Music and activities, exhibition and test of brands, gifts, material prizes and many surprises. We also have the collaboration of the Deltebre town hall and its team, who gave us a safe space with all the guarantees for the event and the competition.

KiteRebels was created 8 years ago on one of the many beaches on the coast of Catalonia. A couple of friends decide to create a WhatsApp group to stay connected and share everything related to their passion: Kitesurfing. Today KiteRebes is a non-profit sports club, but it really is much more: it's sport, it's fellowship, it's group trips, events and more! In 8 years the team has been growing and we are now about 400, plus all those who follow us on the rss and in our events Also, thanks to our collaborators and sponsors, we have been able to make events come true in different SPOTS such as Sant Pere Pescador or Riumar, where in 2021 we launched the first Kitesurfing competition in Delta l'Ebre: Lo Delta Kitefestival.

EBRESURFERS, a local company that was humbly formed in 2018. It was created thanks to the pursuit of a dream: to be able to share their passion with the whole world and promote water and board sports in the Ebro Delta. Currently, they go through their school more than 2500 people each year, enjoying their courses and activities. An active company involved in different projects, such as the organization of the second year of the LoDelta KiteFestival, the construction of the new skatepark in Deltebre, an indoor skatepark at the same school and the construction of a training kite. In his school you can learn kitesurfing with all its variants, wingfoil, efoil, paddlesurf, skate, surfskate and/or kayak.
