DR Open: The future of Dominican kitesurfing!

Dominican kitesurfing is alive and well! The recent DR Open in Las Terrenas left us speechless. Punta Popi beach became the perfect setting for the country's best kitesurfers to showcase their talent and passion for the sport.

What surprised us most was the level of the younger generations. The young Dominican riders demonstrated incredible technique and energy, making it clear that the future of Dominican kitesurfing is in very good hands. And they're just getting started!

Champions at home!

Las Terrenas not only took home the title in the Junior category, but they are also two-time champions in the professional category. This demonstrates that the region has a wealth of talent that promises to be a hotbed of buzz in the coming years.

This event was much more than just a competition. It was an opportunity for young kitesurfers to be inspired by their idols and dream big. And who knows! Maybe one day we'll see some of these youngsters competing on the world circuit.
