Jaime Ancira wins kitesurfing competition in El Cuyo, Veda Festival
El Guadalajara wins the Kitesurfing Friendship Tournament in the "Big Air Old School" category!
Jaime Ancira, who lives in Yucatán, has won the competition that took place on the beaches of El Cuyo, in Tizimín, with the participation of 64 competitors from all over the world, during the Veda Festival.
This year, like the previous one, the eastern beaches of the state were full of people. Despite the bad weather that arrived on Sunday morning, the competitors managed to finish and celebrate the prize giving just before ports were closed across the peninsula.
Ancira took first place, followed by Mario Hernández, a local competitor from El Cuyo. Third place went to Alex Jensen, an Argentine who has lived in Yucatan for a few years. In the women's category, Kotrina Kneizyte from Lithuania took the win.
The tournament, organized by Alejandro Escalante "Paxux", had participants from all over the world, such as Padova in Italy, Toledo in Spain, Seattle in the United States, Caracas in Venezuela, Buenos Aires in Argentina, Santiago de Chile and Vilnius in Lithuania, as well as representatives of Tabasco, Quintana Roo, Chihuahua, State of Mexico and Yucatan.
