Probando la nueva Wing de SPS: Estabilidad, estilo y alguna mejora.

Testing the new SPS Wing: Stability, style and some improvements.

Hello, all wingfoil lovers! Today I want to share my personal experience with the new 6-meter SPS Wing. As a passionate paddleboarder and water sports enthusiast, I had the opportunity to test this incredible wing and want to share all the details with you firsthand. Throughout this article, I'll go over the positive and negative aspects I discovered during my test session. So join me and discover what this wing has to offer!
Positive points:
Stability in the water: The SPS 6-meter Wing stood out for its stability. During my test session, I was able to maintain balance without any problems, which is crucial for smooth and safe sailing.
Quick Inflation: The wing's fill valve proved to be very handy, allowing me to inflate it quickly and be ready to go in no time.
Striking appearance and quality fabric: The wing features an attractive design with large windows that not only give it a modern look but also provide good visibility. Additionally, the quality of the fabric used is remarkable, which is important to ensure its long-term durability.
Rigid structure and stability on the wingfoil: The wing remained structurally rigid, providing stability during my wingfoil sessions. In particular, I was able to observe how stable it remained in downwind conditions.
Additional Gifts: As a bonus, the SPS Wing comes with additional gifts, such as a wrist leash, which demonstrates the company's customer service.
Suitable wind range: In my experience, the wing has an optimal wind range for riders weighing approximately 60 kilos and a 2,000m foil. The suggested range is 10 to 20 kilometers, which is quite versatile and suitable for different conditions.
Points for improvement:
Difficulty attaching and securing the harness line to the boom: During the setup process, I found that correctly attaching and securing it to the handles can be a bit tricky. However, with some practice, it's possible to master this aspect.
Fabric that loosens and creates noise: I noticed that the wing fabric can loosen under certain circumstances, which can create noise during the ride. This could be improved to ensure a quieter experience.
Problems with the plug and the original bag: In my test, the wing plug didn't stay in place properly; when I released the air, it popped out and had no grip. However, this can be easily fixed with a string to prevent it from coming loose (see video). Additionally, folding can be tricky if you continue to use the original bag, so you might want to look for more practical storage alternatives.
Conclusions:
The new SPS 6-meter Wing offers a stable and exciting wingfoil experience. Its rigid structure and stability on the water are highlights that give riders confidence. Furthermore, its attractive design with large windows and the quality of the fabric used demonstrate SPS's attention to detail.
Although I encountered some challenges in attaching and securing the boom, as well as issues with the plug and original bag, these issues can be resolved with some practice and a few simple fixes.
Overall, the SPS Wing is a worthwhile option for those looking for a stable, high-quality wingfoil. Additional features, such as the wrist leash, are an added value that demonstrates the company's commitment to customer satisfaction.
