What a spectacle we witnessed at the Spanish Formula Kite Cup in Los Alcázares, Murcia Region ! The Mar Menor, a legendary setting on the circuit, was once again the battleground where the best riders gave their all in every round. And the tension was at its peak, because not only was the battle for the national title, but the world's elite also joined the party!
SUELTALABARRA Family! Your passion is kitesurfing, and events like this are proof that our sport continues to grow and push boundaries. We're proud to see top-level international riders competing on our shores and raising the bar. This is what makes our community great!
From September 5th to 7th, the Murcia Region High Performance Center hosted a total of 15 events. The riders, led by the Spanish pre-Olympic team, faced unbeatable conditions, giving us one of the most exciting competitions of the year. And if there's one name that resonated strongly, it's that of a champion who has demonstrated why he is a global leader.
With an impeccable performance and outstanding solidity, Dominican kitesurfer and Red Bull athlete Deury Corniel has taken victory in the Open category of the Spanish Formula Kite Cup . A tremendous achievement that demonstrates his dominance on the world circuit and has earned him universal recognition!
Corniel competed against 18 international competitors and demonstrated why he's one of the strongest names in kitesurfing. His overall podium victory is a pure inspiration for young people and a reminder that with talent and discipline, there's no limit to what you can achieve.

The Emotion in Words by Alex Climent!
Our own national champion, Alex Climent, who took home gold in the Spanish National Championship and silver in the Open, shared his feelings on Instagram, and his words perfectly sum up the intensity of the championship and the effort behind each achievement:
"2025 Spanish Cup 🥇
Absolute Open 🥈
Master 🥇
A great weekend with 10 races completed in the waters of the Mar Menor, and the training and championship sessions leading up to the World Championships have come to an end.
One last regatta that has served to consolidate all the work of these past few months. We've worked hard, and here's the result!
The Spanish fleet, along with my teammate @deurycorniel (great work this weekend!), is getting better and better prepared.
Thanks to @enric_noguera for all the tactical knowledge that is gradually being assimilated.
And to the support of my sponsors:
@oficial_rfev
@somvelafederacio
@proyectofer
@flying_sardine
Time to rest, recover from injuries, and give one last push before the World Cup!!"
These words reflect not only Alex's dedication, but also the great camaraderie that exists in the Spanish fleet and the recognition of Deury Corniel's excellent work. An example of sportsmanship and effort!
