Chiclana is buzzing with excitement at the 2025 Spanish Wingfoil Championship.
Hello SUELTALABARRA wingfoilers! The 2025 Spanish Wingfoil Championship has concluded on the always windy La Barrosa beach in Chiclana de la Frontera, Spain. On the first day, despite a gloomy morning with early rain, the wind sided with the riders, giving us a sunny afternoon full of action and excitement. The forecast wasn't the most optimistic, but with the changing tides, the wind began to blow strongly, allowing for several heats in the Surf Slalom and Surf Freestyle disciplines. The riders demonstrated their talent on the waves of La Barrosa.
Four Surf Slalom heats were completed in the senior category, and another four in the junior/women's category. However, the first round of men's and women's Freestyle had to wait until the second day. The morning was filled with the meeting, waves, and pumping hosted by @chema_quevedo_speaker, followed by more heats in the afternoon. Sunday and the third day featured finals and plenty of entertainment with qualifications already closed. Sunday was left for the Junior categories yet to qualify, with an exciting slalom featuring all registered riders, a spectacular start.
