Salinas Fest 2025 National Kitesurfing and Wingfoiling Championship in Colombia

Hey there, SUELTALABARRA family! If you thought Easter was just for relaxing, Colombia really kicked it up a notch! 💨 The Salinas Fest 2025 was a true kitesurfing and wingfoiling festival, bringing together more than 100 athletes (I think they reached 104 registered) from more than 10 countries. 🌍 And as expected, the Fedevela National Championship was the icing on the cake for this already iconic event. Let's see who took home the medals! 🏅

The adrenaline was unleashed at the Galerazamba Salt Flats in Atlántico, with competitions in various disciplines that thrilled everyone in attendance. A spectacle of jumps, glides, and speed that left more than one person with their mouths open! 🤩

In the Wing Race category, Valle del Cauca demonstrated its power with Jean Paul Liechti taking gold 🥇. La Guajira wasn't far behind, with Álvaro Cadena taking silver 🥈, and Santander added a bronze thanks to José Rodríguez 🥉. What a fight for speed between the wingfoilers! 🚀

The women also put on a show in the women's Twintip Race. Lizeth Loaiza from Valle took gold 🥇, while La Guajira celebrated Casia Gómez's silver 🥈 and Laura Giraldo's bronze 🥉. Female talent at its peak! 🏄♀️

In the men's Twintip Race, Valle del Cauca once again stood out thanks to Jacobo Arcos' gold medal. Víctor Bolaños of Santander took silver, and Antioquia added a bronze medal with Kenruis Bron Miranda. The men's sprint race was also breathtaking!

Formula Kite, one of the most spectacular disciplines, also had its champions. In the women's category, María Lizeth Loaiza (a double for Valle! 🥇) demonstrated her dominance. Marie Prevot (Santander) took silver 🥈, and Atlántico celebrated the bronze of its representative, Wendy Vanesa de la Asunción 🥉. Local pride as always! 🙌

And to close with a flourish, the men's Formula Kite crowned Víctor Bolaños (Santander) with the gold medal 🥇. Jean Paul Liechti (Valle) added another medal to his collection, this time a silver 🥈, and Luis Alcázar (Bolívar) took the bronze 🥉. A spectacular end to an unforgettable event! ✨
