GKA Youth Kite World Championships 2025!
What a great time we had in Tarifa, the epicenter of kiteboarding!
From September 1st to 5th, the Valdevaqueros spot became the stage where the world's rising kitesurfing talents demonstrated that the future of our sport is brighter than ever. The 2025 GKA Youth Kite World Championships were, without a doubt, a burst of pure energy and talent.
SUELTALABARRA Family! It wasn't just any championship; this was the only stop of the year for the Twin-tip Freestyle and Kitesurfing disciplines, which meant that the world junior champions in the U14, U16, and U19 categories would be crowned here. And with the Levante winds making their mark, the spectacle was guaranteed. The boys and girls not only flew, but they also made us dream with their tricks and mastery in the water!
The competition was breathtaking, with battles in the water that demonstrated the passion and brutal skill these kids possess. Watching them surf, jump, and land impossible tricks was a true marvel, a festival of turns, jumps, and mastery on the waves.
Some of my followers, subscribers, and SLB brand ambassadors have participated in this global event, one of them being Pedro, the young talent from Cumbuco, Brazil, who made history in Tarifa by winning the 2025 GKA Youth Kite World Championships. It's crazy to see how these young riders push the boundaries and raise the bar in every category! From Spain to Brazil, Italy, Bulgaria, Australia, France, Hungary, Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland, and Austria, talent has come from all over the world to leave their mark on Tarifa. I'm still amazed by the organization of this event and the high level of performance that GKA and Tarifa generate every time they come together.
