Douglas Lopes lives in Barra Grande, Piauí, Brazil. His usual surfing spots are Barra Grande and Barrinha, both in Piauí, known for their excellent kitesurfing conditions. His adventure with the sport began at age 9, and since then he has demonstrated steady progress and admirable dedication.

Douglas draws inspiration from the style of riders like Eudazio da Silva and Andrea Principi. He focuses on the disciplines of Freestyle and Big Air , seeking spectacular tricks and the thrill of jumps.
