Nia Suardiaz and Mathis Ghio Shine at the Wingfoil World Championships in Türkiye 🌟
Hello, friends of SUELTALABARRA in Spain 🌞 Today I have some wingfoil news for you. Nia Suardiaz, our Tarifa-born rider, has won the first round of the Wingfoil World Championship in Turkey, once again demonstrating her incredible talent and determination. 🥇
Nia Suardiaz Dominates in Türkiye

Nia Suardiaz, just 17 years old, stunned everyone by dominating the women's competition from start to finish. From the first mark to the last maneuver, Nia showed why she's one of wingfoil's most promising young talents. With winds between 10 and 12 knots in the final, she managed to stay calm and execute a flawless race, building a comfortable lead on the cross-shaped course. And all this in just six minutes! ⏱️💨
"I'm really excited to win, because I was also quite nervous," Suardiaz confessed. "I didn't know if I could win or maybe hit a plastic and crash. It was fantastic to win like that. Now I'm going to work hard all season and train hard before the call-up in China." 🇨🇳
Mathis Ghio: The King of Men's Wingfoil

In the men's category, Frenchman Mathis Ghio also shone brightly. A two-time world champion, Ghio didn't disappoint, showcasing his experience and skill in every stage of the final. "We had to slow down a lot before the start and then accelerate as quickly as possible when we heard the race committee's starting signal," commented Ghio. "From then on, it was an explosive push to get to the end of the race." 🚀
