Big Air in Tarifa! The Full Power 2025 Women's and Pro Division 2
Hello family, Full Power Tarifa 2025 kicked off this Monday with a bang! The legendary Balneario spot once again became the world's epicenter of Big Air, and the Tarifa crowd witnessed a heart-stopping competition that crowned the event's first champions.
SUELTALABARRA family! This isn't just any old championship; it's an event we've been looking forward to all year, a Big Air festival that, in its seventh edition, continues to raise the bar. The Levante winds, with gusts reaching 30-40 knots and waves that serve as real trampolines with a rescue ramp and calm waters, created the perfect setting for the riders to give us an unforgettable show. From the first heats, the tension in the water was palpable, as was the excitement in every flight and landing of the participants!
With Ruben Lenten and Justin Fifer at the helm, I've been closely following every detail of the live show. The format is a dingle elimination, where riders have eight minutes and eight attempts to land their best tricks. But be careful! The judges look for variety, awarding the three highest-scoring maneuvers that belong to different "families" of tricks (kiteloops with backrolls, frontrolls, dirty loops, etc.). No repetition here; you have to be versatile and extreme! That's what Alvaro Onieva, organizer of FullPower, told us.

Although Pro 1 is still to come, the Pro 2 and women's divisions have demonstrated a level bordering on elite, with riders making a strong entrance on the international scene. Congratulations to the winners!

The queens of Big Air conquer Tarifa!
The women's division put on a spectacular performance on Balneario beach, with riders ready to fly and loop. With athletes like @inbarlerner and our Red Bull Megaloop champion, @zarahoogenraad The battle for the podiums was unforgettable, Zara was on the verge of being left out and in the last one because she didn't land I think I saw a Boogie Loop until she landed with seconds left before the final horn and won by tenths of a second.
These girls are coming to Tarifa to prove that women's Big Air has no limits!

Sander
According to the interview recorded at the presentation, Sander believes that kitesurfing teaches an important life lesson: "The more you fall, the more you progress, and you have to get up." He advises beginners to always be accompanied by someone with experience. His passion for the sport was sparked five years ago when he saw kites for the first time in Tarifa, a vision that captivated him for four hours. Seven years later, his enthusiasm hasn't waned. He also describes the experience of flying at over 40 knots as "magical" and confesses that he'd rather land badly than run out of wind mid-jump.
Noah
Noah felt great after his kitesurfing success, attributing his strong performance to the optimal conditions and strong winds. During the interview, it was noted that he was the "only strapless" (without bindings) competing in the event, which is quite a feat. Thanks to his skill, he was thanked for "opening up strapless to everyone," which underscores his contribution and influence in this sport.
