Los reyes de la velocidad se coronan en El Campeonato Mundial de Formula Kite 2025

The kings of speed are crowned at the 2025 Formula Kite World Championship.

Oh my goodness, family, what a brutal weekend we've had!

The 2025 Formula Kite World Championship, held in Cagliari, Sardinia, was an epic battle. More than 90 sailors from 29 countries competed in the first major competition of this Olympic cycle, paving the way for Los Angeles 2028. The event was characterized by its intensity, demonstrating the extremely high technical level and strategy required in this sport.

The conditions in Cagliari were a constant challenge. The winds changed dramatically, going from light and variable to a strong, offshore Mistral. The sailors had to be extremely versatile, as a single mistake could cost them several positions. Consistency became the key to success. Several athletes, including Elena Kalinina and a Polish sailor, mentioned that it was a "super tricky" race and that the gusts were unpredictable, but that the ability to stay in the flow was key.
