Kitesurfing enthusiasts rejoice! Cesantes Beach is getting ready to once again host the KiteFest Cesantes Trofeo Xunta de Galicia event , which this year celebrates its seventh edition and promises to be more exciting than ever.

From July 5 to 7 , the Vigo estuary will become the epicenter of Galician kitesurfing, bringing together riders from all over Spain and even abroad.

The KiteFest Cesantes offers competitions for all levels and modalities of kitesurfing: Twintip, Surf, Kite Foil, and Wingfoil . Plus, there's the trick and Big Air competition , where the most daring riders will put their skills to the test with jumps and acrobatic maneuvers.

Beyond the competitions, KiteFest Cesantes is a family event where everyone can enjoy the beach, music, and local cuisine. There will be kitesurfing exhibitions , workshops for children , catering areas and markets with products related to this sport.

The Cesantes KiteFest is also an important showcase for tourism in the area. The event attracts thousands of visitors each year, generating a positive economic impact on the town.

The success of KiteFest Cesantes would not be possible without the support of institutions. The event is organized by TMKiteClub and the Redondela City Council , and is sponsored by the Xunta de Galicia , the Pontevedra Provincial Council , ABANCA and Abril Oils .

The event was presented this Friday at Cesantes beach in an event presided over by Rita Pérez, deputy mayor of Redondela, and Ricardo González, president of the TMKiteClub.

The president of the organizing club was in charge of opening the event, thanking “the support of all the institutions involved in the event, Xunta de Galicia, Diputaci ón de Pontevedra, Concello de Redondela and the Royal Galician Sailing Federation, as well as ABANCA and Aceites Abril, since without all of them this would not be possible .”

“This year we're once again having regatta-style competitions for the three kitesurfing divisions—Twintip, Surf, and Kite Foil—and also Wingfoil, as well as trick and Big Air competitions. We just have to hope the wind is with us, and of course, we hope people enjoy it to the fullest, as they do every year , ” added González.

Rita Pérez was in charge of closing the event, confirming that, “For me , as a cesantina, it's a source of pride that this festival is held year after year. People come to enjoy our coast and our gastronomy , which is undoubtedly a very important boost to tourism, and for the Municipality of Redondela , this is an event that must endure over time, so I must thank the president of the TMKiteClub, as without them this wouldn't be possible. We hope that next weekend the beach will be filled with riders and everyone who wants to come and enjoy the event.”
