What was Master of the Ocean 2024 like? 🌊

If you're a fan of extreme water sports, you definitely didn't miss Master of the Ocean 2024, the world's most spectacular and comprehensive event, held from February 19th to 26th in Cabarete, Dominican Republic. 🇩🇴
At this event, the world's best athletes competed in five different disciplines: kitesurfing, wingfoil, windsurfing, surfing, and SUP, demonstrating their mastery of the ocean. 🏄♂️

The big winner of this 19th edition was Frenchman Maxime Lhuillier @maxico25, who took home the trophy in both the individual and team categories, along with his Dream Team teammates. 🏆
Maxime, who lives in Cancun and owns @shakavibescancun, a center that offers kitesurfing, foil, windsurfing, wingfoil, and SUP lessons and rentals, told us about his experience at the 2024 Master of the Ocean:
After 5 days of competing in Kitesurfing, Wingfoil, Windsurfing, Surfing and SUP, I am very happy to win the 2024 Master of the Ocean both individually and as a team.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this incredible event.

But Maxime wasn't the only one who shone in this event, which was filled with excitement and great performances. Other athletes who stood out were:
- Aline Adisaka , the SUP world champion, who showed her skill and elegance on the board.
- Nicolás de la Cruz , the local favorite, who led the explosive surfing sessions with his power and style.
- Francis González , the Dominican legend, who impressed with his wingfoil and charisma.
- Brian Talma , the defending champion, who defended his title with his versatility and his joy.
The 2024 Master of the Ocean was not only a sporting event, but also a community celebration, engaging in ocean conservation, recycling, and carnival activities. 🎉
Saturday, February 24th, was Community Day, with talks, workshops, demonstrations, and games for all ages. The venue was Cocopipe Point, where children and families were the center of the activities.

The closing ceremony was held on Monday, February 26th at Ojo Club Cabarete (@ojoclubcabarete), where prizes valued at $12,000 were awarded, courtesy of the incredible sponsors who made this event possible. 💰
