The most extreme GKA Hydrofoil Big Air flights on Sylt with Flysurfer!

What an amazing event we had in Sylt, Germany! The GKA Hydrofoil Big Air World Cup was an epic battle against the wind—and not just any wind, but one of the most challenging! Despite less-than-ideal conditions, with only about 13 knots, our riders proved that the passion for Big Air is stronger than any obstacle.
SUELTALABARRA Family! We saw the titans of hydrofoil soaring, making it clear that this sport is constantly evolving and that the tricks are getting wilder. And in this battle of giants, two Spanish riders shone brightly: Lorenzo Casati and Borja Vellón !

The semifinals were absolutely crazy, with New Zealand's Hugo Wigglesworth proving why he's from another planet. With jaw-dropping control and height, he secured his place in the grand final. But the excitement grew when Lorenzo Casati joined him, his determination outstripping other riders, including our compatriot Borja Vellón . And although Borja didn't make it to the final, he demonstrated a brutal level of performance and made it clear why he's among the elite.
And here comes the big news that all of us riders in the community are crazy about: Borja Vellón is flying with Flysurfer . That's right! With kites like the powerful SOUL and the speedy SONIC , Borja demonstrated control and mastery that leaves no doubt about the quality and performance of these wings. If you're looking to fly high and have maximum control in your sessions, you already know which kite the professionals use.
In the final, with just enough wind to keep him flying, Wigglesworth remained untouchable, a true star who combines style, height, and execution. But the moment that made us scream like crazy was when our Lorenzo Casati pulled off an ambitious "unhooked handle pass" in the final minute. That's the attitude we like!
And that move, that courage, secured him a prestigious spot. Lorenzo climbed onto the podium! A well-deserved bronze that tastes like gold and demonstrates the incredible talent of the Spanish youth team. You're great, Lorenzo!

After the podium, Lorenzo (who you can follow on Instagram @lorenzo__casati ) shared his joy, and his words perfectly encapsulate the spirit of the sport. He told us:
"Happy with my 3rd🥉 place at the @gkakiteworldtour Hydrofoil competition in Sylt. The wind was really, really light, but I gave it my best and I'm proud to share the podium with my brother at his 1st ever Hydrofoil comp! 💪"
