Primera parada SPAIN WINGFOIL LEAGUE CHICLANA 2024

First stop: SPAIN WINGFOIL LEAGUE CHICLANA 2024

The first stop of the Spain WingFoil League of the season has given us epic days of sun, wind, and competition. The western winds of Chiclana provided incredible conditions for the riders to unleash their full potential on La Barrosa Beach.

From Atenas Playa to the world, an exceptional cast of riders demonstrated that national WingFoil has significantly improved its level. The different disciplines were packed with competitiveness and motivated athletes, offering a spectacle worth witnessing firsthand.

Saturday was dedicated entirely to the Freestyle discipline. A strong wind allowed for a display of spectacular tricks. All three categories held their finals to crown the best junior, senior, and women.

Sunday was a great day to make the most of the westerly winds with the slalom and race events. All sails were in the water and all riders were giving their all. Competitors were literally flying over the sea, with extremely tight finishes that provided a great deal of enjoyment for the large crowd.

On Monday, we continued with the slalom events. The fleet was divided into two groups: senior men, and women and juniors. A downwind slalom was contested, and as the winds increased, the slalom ended with some highly competitive upwind sections. The competition was extremely close at the front, and the high technical level of the participants was evident.

International athletes such as Nathan Berguer and River Moore, as well as national athletes such as Ancor Sosa and world champion Nia Suardíaz, have competed in each category, displaying a talent that is difficult to see live today.
