Jamie Overbeek roza el Récord Mundial en los WOO Worlds de Cold Hawaii

Jamie Overbeek closes in on a world record at the WOO Worlds in Cold Hawaii

Hold on tight to the bar, family, because what you're about to read is out of this world!

The world's most brutal jumping competition, the WOO Worlds , has once again challenged the limits of gravity, and this time, the setting couldn't be more epic: the coast of Cold Hawaii in Denmark. Nothing like the Cold Hawaii Games, this is an international WOO event, but in Denmark and with winds exceeding 40 knots, the Big Air elite took to the skies in a frantic race to conquer a new record.

SUELTALABARRA Family! If you thought records were just broken, this championship proves it’s a battle of millimeters. The last world record, 36.7 meters, was held by the great Hugo Wigglesworth (@hugo.wigglesworth) with Flysurfer ERA, and it seemed untouchable. But at this WOO Worlds 2025 , the beast almost woke up again. Levi Smit (@levi_smit_) was a breath away (36.4m), Josh Gillitt (@josh_gillitt) almost touched it with his fingertips (35.9m), and our great Jamie Overbeek (@jamie_overbeek) almost touched it with 36.1 meters!

Oh my gosh fam, what a brutal day for Jamie! In a crazy race, with shifting winds and fading light, this Dutch rider dared to fly higher than anyone else, recording the second highest jump of the entire championship. Riding his Duotone Rebel D/LAB 7m kite, Jamie broke the 30m barrier four times! His performance not only put him one step away from the record, but also helped his team, @kitemana_com , consolidate their lead in the height rankings and put the Netherlands ahead in the Nations Cup.

🏆 Max Height Team Trophy

🥇 Kitemana (158.3 m) 🥈 Ctair (147.3 m) 🥉 Theharlemfamily (137.2 m)

The WOO Worlds is more than a competition; it's a constant pursuit of perfection. And when the Danish winds blow above 50 knots, we know that Big Air history can be rewritten at any moment. It's a race against the sky and against gravity that has us all on tenterhooks!

🏆 Nations Cup

🥇 Netherlands 🇳🇱 (271.3 points) 🥈 South Africa 🇿🇦 (246.0 points) 🥉 Germany 🇩🇪 (241.8 points). This data determines the areas where there are the greatest chances of achieving these records, areas where speeds of 40 knots are routinely exceeded.
