Excitement was in the wind and the waves were roaring loudly in Ostia as brave riders prepared to take on the challenges of the sea in the first stage of the 2024 Italian Kite Wave Championship! 💨🤙
The first women's wave competition in the history of Italian kitesurfing, an incredible milestone!
Qualifying was packed with action and memorable moments. Davide Calatri shined brightly, taking first place in the Grand Master category and third overall, demonstrating his skill and passion for kiteboarding. In the Under 21 category, Gianmarco Fazzi took first place. A true champion on the waves! 🏆
In the women's category, history was written in gold letters with the first wave competition in Italian kitesurfing history. Elisa Picchiotti took the victory, closely followed by Ilaria Migliorini and Charlotte Baruzzi, who braved the challenging sea conditions. An extraordinary achievement for these talented riders! 👩🔬🏄♀️
