Nini in her first Sunset Championship with Elas 2023

Last weekend, SUNSET CON ELAS, a women-only kiteboarding event, brought together more than 50 participants from different countries and ages on Prea Beach, Ceara, Brazil. The event's goal was to promote the sport among women, create a supportive community, and enjoy nature and the adrenaline rush that kiteboarding offers.

Among the participants, one stood out especially for her talent, charisma, and passion for kiteboarding: Nini, a young Venezuelan woman who competed in a championship for the first time and took second place in the jumping category. Nini demonstrated great skill and confidence in the water, performing impressive jumps that left spectators and the judges speechless.

Nini expressed her happiness and gratitude for her participation in the event and shared her experience on her Instagram account, @_soynini, where she has more than 10,000 followers. In her post, Nini expressed the following:

Competing for the first time, doing what I love most: diving 😊, has been incredible, but sharing and meeting so many passionate girls in the water has been my favorite part of this new experience. (Of course, finishing second is a treat) Hehehe 😝

Girls who inspire me, from different countries and ages, but all united by the same passion that unites us: the best sport in the world, Kiteboarding😄🥹.

I'm very happy with my second place, although the true triumph lies in the unity and strength we demonstrated as women... To all those who participated and gave their all in the water, congratulations! 🥹

Nini also congratulated the other podium winners: Brazilian Liege Laurentino, who took first place, and Brazilian Clarice Kite01, who placed third. All three received trophies and prizes from the event's sponsors, including clothing, accessory, cosmetics, and beverage brands.

SUNSET CON ELAS was a resounding success, both for the quality of the competitors and the atmosphere of camaraderie and fun that prevailed over the two-day event. Event organizer Caupolo expressed his satisfaction and pride in having created a space for women to express themselves and enjoy kiteboarding without pressure or limitations. Caupolo also thanked everyone who supported and collaborated to make the event possible and announced that another edition will be held soon.
