The spectacle of wind without waves! 🌬️
If you're a kiteboarding enthusiast, this event is a MUST-SEE! Macapa Big Air 2023, the third edition of this exciting championship, brings together the best riders from Brazil and around the world. All in the stunning setting of Macapa Beach, in the state of Piaui! ☀️
From October 13th to 15th, get ready for epic jumps, amazing tricks, and pure adrenaline in a spot with ideal conditions for kitesurfing: steady winds, warm waters, and a flat lagoon perfect for beginners.
The Macapa Big Air 2023 awards height, technique, and style in various categories: beginner, local, female, freestyle, and big air. Winners receive cash prizes, sports equipment, trophies, and, of course, the applause of the audience. The event also offers a series of parallel activities, including parties, concerts, workshops, and exhibitions.
The 2023 edition of the Macapa Big Air was a resounding success, with more than 50 registered riders and a festive, family-friendly atmosphere. This year's winners included:

Nearly 80 athletes have already registered for the exciting Kitefest 2023. This year, R$22,000 in prizes will be awarded to the top three competitors in the men's and women's categories across all four disciplines! It's going to be incredible!
For the Downwind, Regatta, and Foil events, champions will receive R$500, runners-up R$300, and third-place finishers R$200. In the Big Air category, champions will take home R$5,000, runners-up R$3,000, and third-place finishers R$1,000!
The 2023 edition, which includes the VI Areia Branca Kitesurfing Championship, will take place from October 20 to 22 at the beautiful Praia de Upanema.
And best of all, registration is free! You can register on the Areia Branca City Council website until October 19th.
Programming:
On October 20th, starting at 7:00 PM, we'll be waiting to welcome the athletes with DJ music and to hand out testing kits.
On the 21st and 22nd, exciting competitions will take place during the day, and at night, the party continues on land with performances by bands that will be announced soon.
Kitefest 2023 is a must-see! 🌊🎉
