The competition is being a tough battle on the beach of Tarifa, the competition ends today Tuesday June 6 with the strongest day, as far as the wind is concerned with gusts of 35knts in the morning and 40ktns in the afternoon, jumps that exceed 19 meters in height (Giel Vlugt) 97 meters in distance and speeds of 85 km/h according to the data from the SURFR app in real time that the GKA production on YouTube has published during the tests.
In the women's heats, three riders competed with seven jumps, with the three best scores considered. Dutchwoman Zara Hoogeenraad demonstrated her dominance in her heat, earning a total score of 17.87. Sweden's Nathalie Lambrecht performed even better in her heat, achieving a score of 18.20, which included an outstanding kite loop with a score of 6.47. Mikaili Sol scored a great 6.83 for a front roll kite loop, but it was Angely Bouillot who truly delivered a Big Air masterclass, earning a score of 20.23, which included a 7.63 kite loop back roll, board off. Rounding out a day that stretched to the men's final stretch.
The girls were early risers and first to finish the women's twintip final on this morning's competition, where a crowd of just 50 people watched the event on Balneario beach. As we all know, the results of each round do not count toward the final, and the score starts from zero. This is where Mikaili Sol stands out with the highest total of the four finalists, with the following results:

Today the boys continued to leave great riders in the qualifications and moving on to the next qualifying rounds the talented kitesurfers Liam Whaley from Spain 🇪🇦 and Andrea Principi from Italy 🇮🇹 who starred in exciting confrontations in the Men's Big Air Twintip of the Qatar Airways GKA Big Air Tarifa World Championship 🇪🇦 Spain. As leaders in the classification, both demonstrated exceptional control and perfect execution, accumulating high scores in their heats and making it clear to their rivals that they were ready to fight relentlessly on the beaches of the Balneario de Tarifa.
Live from the penultimate round, with the women's and men's twintip standings.
And finally, the long-awaited qualification for the men's twintip final, featuring the world's best Big Air riders. Although their maneuvers are also evaluated by the judges, this Big Air event seeks the best combination of jump height, distance, and maneuver performed.
The beach at Balneario Tarifa now looks like a world championship game, with signs at all accessible points, as well as the breakwater/bridge that provides access to the island.
The competition doesn't let up, the men's twintip and surfboard hits go by with a half day full of jumps and spectacular maneuvers, TV on the GKA Youtube channel, dessert and the sofa, although it's nothing like the cycling naps 🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴.
Problems continue in both disciplines with Lorenzo Casati's Cabrinha in Surfboard, doing what we call bat, the kite turns between the lines leaving it like the wings of a bat, this error left him out of points going through the round Kiko Roig, in Kiko's words "It's the best moment of my life, the conditions are crazy and now I'm going to the grand final." And a similar thing happened with Noah Nicolas' La Duotone in twintip, in Noah's case he was able to recover the kite by only having one side caught with the line, going through to the round with a spectacular Double Loop.
Andrea Príncipi and Giel Vlugt do their homework, Lian Whaley changes kites in one of the best battles of the day, his battle partner Cohan Van Duk beats him with 97 tenths, the battles with two riders in the water give greater spectacle to the public that now comes closer to Balneario spot TARIFA 🇪🇦.
Three Spaniards and an Australian made it to the final of the GKA Big Air Tarifa Surfboard Men, it's no joke 😂, James Carew showed with his experience that in the finals you have to be accurate, the scores of his rivals were far behind, he only had one rival Marc Garriga, the Catalan and resident of the city, one more Tarifeño will have the deserved second place.
Congratulations to the Surfboard winners.

James Carew unfortunately injured himself in the final and is receiving medical attention.
Finally, to conclude the world's most important competition, Qatar Airways Big Air Twintip Tarifa, the results were so close that even in the final, we ended up tied on points: Andrea Príncipi and Coah Van Duk with 25.57 points. The organizers awarded Andrea first place. Lorenzo Casati came in third, and Giel Vlugt finished fourth.
Congratulations to the twintip winners.
