Kite Below Zero: the coldest and most fun gathering of the year 🥶🤩
Share
Kite Bajo Cero tells us about the experiences of the participants of the 3rd International Kitesurfing Meeting organized by the Kite Bajo Cero Civil Association in El Calafate, Patagonia, Argentina. The event brought together riders from different countries, including Spain's @claudialeonkitesurf, ranked third in the world freestyle rankings. 🏆 This detail won't be the same in the 2025 4th edition, and Claudia León is ranked fourth in freestyle 🤪🤙

El Calafate is one of Argentina's most beautiful spots, with constant winds throughout the season, from September to May. It's also the gateway to the famous Perito Moreno Glacier and other glaciers, which can also be visited by boat or by enjoying a beautiful trek through lenga and ñire forests. The scenery is spectacular, and kitesurfing isn't all about it; you can also visit the towns and their people.
The event ran for three days, filled with fun, food, parties, raffles, and even a new strap-on board. 🎁

The sun shone and the wind blew between 20 and 35 knots every day, allowing riders to enjoy some incredible kitesurfing sessions. 🌬️
If you're thinking of combining a leisure trip with your favorite sport, El Calafate, "Land of Glaciers," will surprise you. With several different spots, magical landscapes, a kite school, and equipment rental, you have everything you need for a unique experience. 🙌
