Cartagena is crowned the capital of the wind: Total spectacle at the Windspot Kiteboarding & Wingfoil Open 2025. Cartagena dressed up to welcome the kings of Kiteboarding & Wingfoil in an OPEN that was a spectacle, that left everyone with their mouths open, and in SUELTALABARRA we bring you all the details and classifications.

For three days, the beaches of La Heroica became a hotbed of adrenaline, with the best national and international riders demonstrating their talent in windy conditions that, wow!, were fantastic, further consolidating this windy area. Cartagena has to be in the TOP 10 spots for practicing wind sports.
Big Air Kiteboarding: The category that offers the most spectacular experience to the public from the beach.
In the Big Air Kite – Open category, Dominican Kinito Martínez took gold with gravity-defying jumps. A true spectacle. Colombian Jean Paul Liechti Jr. took silver, and Jorge Eliezer Ipiana rounded out the podium with bronze.

The girls weren't far behind in Big Air, with Germany's Lisa Heckler 🇩🇪 crowned the Women's Big Air Kite queen. Colombia's Wendy Hernández 🇨🇴 took silver, and Verónica Bastidas rounded out the podium with bronze.

Wingfoil Air Freestyle: The future is now!
Wingfoil Air Freestyle proved that this sport is booming. If there were any doubts about its progress or if it wasn't going to be that big of a challenge, it's now established with events in all categories and countries. Andrés Pereira 🇨🇴 took the title with an impeccable routine, followed by Norman Echavarría 🇨🇴 and Kenruis Bron Miranda 🇨🇴. Colombian talent is on another level, and it was evident at Windspot. Finally, Iván Fumarola finished in fourth place.

Kiteboarding Racing:
If there's one race with the most enthusiastic and enthusiastic participants, this is the most popular. With basic kiteboarding knowledge, riders can already compete.
